Raksheet and Rakshita (yes, we're twins!)
About Rakshita:
I am a senior at Seven Lakes High School. My twin brother and I started the BHE Math and Science club in 2016, since then we have continued to grow and improve our club with help of our energetic and amazing GT teachers Mrs. Rezaie and Mrs. Simmons at BHE. I was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award from the White House multiple times for my dedication towards my students and the club. Additionally, a large part of my life has been dedicated to Science Olympiad, in which I have won several gold, silver, and bronze medals at the national level. I also hold President positions in the Math Honor Society as well as the Vice President Position in Science Honor Society at my high school. Outside of these academic activities, I also have been learning classical Indian dance and music for the past 13 years. I was recently selected as a National Merit Semifinalist for my performance in the PSAT. One of my recent research projects was published in a highly-selective, peer-reviewed research journal "The Young Researcher".
About Raksheet:
I am a senior at Seven Lakes High School. Like my sister mentioned above we have established BHE Math and Science club in our 8th grade, since then we have been thoroughly enjoying teaching new math and science concepts to 4th & 5th-grade students at BHE. I was awarded 4 President's Volunteer Service Awards for my dedication towards community service in education. Outside of the club I am a five-time district spelling bee champion and one-time participant in the Scripps National Spelling bee where I tied for fifth place overall. In addition to spelling, I am also a three-time AIME qualifier, a Science Olympiad champion, and a MATHCOUNTS chapter perfect scorer. Recently, I was also elected as National Merit Semifinalist for my performance on the PSAT.
